A section onWMHwas created in 2015. The section objectives are outlined. Activities in this area started from creation of multidisciplinary national contact network for specialists. The data collection on Russian-held studies started. The respective symposia were arranged in the national and international conferences. The issues of women’s mental health are actively elaborated by Russian specialists in topics overlapping with those stressed by EPA and WPA: women’s mental health and medical issues, women’s mental health and psychiatric treatments in pregnancy, gender and psychosis, post-traumatic stress disorders in women, violence against women, women’s mental health in conflict zones, women’s leadership, etc. The prominent role of female scientists in foundation and development of Russian psychiatry and clinical psychology are emphasized.
