Problem. Despite the role of speech in the functioning of the emotional and behavioural sphere of the individual, there is almost no research on the features of ToM in case of speech disorders. Our research aimed at studying the role of speech and verbal mediation in understanding facial expression. Aims. Influ-ence of speech disorders on understanding the emotional sign of facial expres-sion. Productivity in evaluating the facial expression and three types of dichot-omies were studied: recognition of basic (BE) and complex emotions (states); understanding complex social (CS) and non-social states (NS); recognition of facial expressions of male and female faces.
